Police called to ‘illegal rave’

FOUR people have been arrested and released on a police bail in connection with an ‘illegal rave’ on Saturday night in West Stow.

Officers were called at 11.37pm by Norfolk Police who had received information about a rave in the King’s Forest. They attended the B1106 supported by the force helicopter and found a number of people and vehicles gathered in

the forest.

Officers monitored and turned people away from the scene until numbers were low enough to enter the site safely. At this point about 30 people remained and at 10.50am music was turned off and the rave began to disperse.

At 11.50am four people were arrested on suspicion of carrying out an unauthorised licensable event.

The group were taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

They were a 23-year-old man, of Bury, a 25-year-old man, of Bury, a 27-year-old man, of the Bury area, and a 25-year-old woman, of the Bury area.

They were questioned and released on police bail to return to the centre on August 25 and 26.
