Police appeal after medicine is stolen from Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds

Police are appealing for witnesses after a bag containing medication was stolen from the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds.

The theft happened between 9.30am and 9.45am on Sunday November 17. The victim had put his grey shoulder bag down on a seat near the aviary, and it was taken from there.

Police say the bag contained prescription medication including oramorph, MST continus, diazepam and warfarin. This medication could be potentially harmful to someone who is not prescribed to take it and anyone finding it is asked to hand it in immediately to Bury St Edmunds Police Station.

Anyone who witnessed anybody acting suspiciously in the area or who has any information about the theft is asked to contact Bury Central Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
