A PERSONAL assistant at one of the world’s leading banks who used corporate credit cards to pay for a friend’s boob job has been spared jail.

Emily McMillan, 28, of Grove Road, Bury St Edmunds, paid for a holiday to Ibiza and saved up more than £800 in spending money, using corporate cards at global financial services firm, JP Morgan Chase.

She paid £3,000 to fund her friend’s breast enlargement operation.

Desperate McMillan also made a £3,000 mortgage payment, after falling more than £30,000 in arrears.

The property in Sudbury, which was owned by her brother, was eventually repossessed.

McMillan stole a total of £10,633.88 from the firm, and still owes £4,634.88, the Old Bailey heard on Friday January 7.

But she was spared jailed after the court heard she had ‘turned over a new leaf’ and is fighting her Class A drugs problem.

McMillan was ordered to take part in a six-month drug rehabilitation program, given an 18-month supervision order and ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.

She was also ordered to re-pay the £4634.88 that she still owes to JP Morgan.
