Murder Bury St Edmunds: Men bailed after arrest into woman’s death

A woman found dead in a car park in Bury St Edmunds has been named as Mary Roberts, aged 50, of no fixed abode.

Two men have been released on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with her death.

The 55 and 59-year-old men, both from the Bury area were interviewed by police and have now been bailed to return to the Bury Police Investigation Centre on June 4 and 5 respectively.

The cordon surrounding the car park in Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, where Mary Roberts’ body was found at around 9am on Wednesday has now been lifted but one of two cordons remains in place in Petch Close, Bury St Edmunds.
