Police are appealing for information after a man in his 50s was robbed in Newmarket High Street.
The incident happened around 5.40pm yesterday, Monday 27 June, close to Barclays bank. The victim had walked along an alleyway there when he was approached by two men who made demands for cash and jewellery and threatened him.
The man in his 50s had a ring stolen before he managed to strike one of the offenders, knocking him to the ground.
It’s believed this man would have sustained some type of facial injury and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
It’s thought the area would have been busy around this time and detectives need to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened, or may have seen the men, or anyone with information about those involved.
