A man has received a community order for punching a father in front of his daughter and other bus passengers.
Emma Howson, prosecuting, said at 11.55am on March 12 Jonathan Flack punched the victim in the face as he tried to board a bus with his young daughter in a pushchair.
In mitigation, Claire Lockwood said Flack was emotional over an incident with his mother in which he believes the victim was involved.
Flack, 26, of Lowry Way, Stowmarket, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. He received a 12 month community order with supervision and 70 hours’ unpaid work.
He was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.
