A 66-year-old man from Amsterdam has been arrested on behalf of UK Police as part of the investigation into allegations of abuse at St George’s School in Great Finborough.

The man, a dutch international, was arrested on Wednesday August 17.

The arrest comes nearly a year after 62-year-old former head of St George’s School, Derek Slade, from Burton-on Trent, was jailed for 21 years for a string of sex offences.

The arrested Dutch international is being currently being held in custody in The Netherlands.

Suffolk Constabulary are seeking to extradite the man to the UK in due course.
