Inquest is opened into collision death

An inquest into the death of a 23-year-old woman from Barrow was opened and adjourned on Tuesday.

On July 22, Vivienne Bickerton, of Bury Road, Barrow, was pronounced dead at West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, following her involvement in a road traffic collision.

Coronor Dr Peter Dean told the inquest that Miss Bickerton’s cause of death was given as a chest injury and laceration of her liver due to a road traffic collision.

He adjourned the inquest, held at the Active Business Centre, in St Andrews Street South, Bury, pending further inquiries.
