Four men are to stand trial for the attempted murder of an American serviceman in the centre of Bury St Edmunds on New Year’s Day.
The four deny attempting to murder Jonathan McNeely, who is alleged to have been attacked and stabbed in the early hours of the morning.
He was found with stab wounds at a flat in Gosnold Street.
Ryan Otto, 32, of Airfield Road, Bury, Rhys Hammond, 18, of Rushbrooke, Siju Roseje, 30, of Robinson Way, Wooton, Northampton and Peter Raeburn, 32, of Macquarie Quay, Eastbourne were remanded in custody at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday.
Their trial is due to begin on May 21 and is expected to last up to 10 days.
