POLICE have arrested five people in connection with two robberies in Bury St Edmunds last week.

On Thursday, officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and a 20-year-old man on suspicion of robbery, burglary and aggravated vehicle taking.

Both are from Bury St Edmunds.

Three others were arrested by police last Wednesday.

A 23-year-old woman from Bury St Edmunds was arrested on suspicion of robbery and two 22-year-old men from Haverhill were also arrested, one on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and the other for robbery and theft.

All are due to answer police bail on Monday October 1 October at Bury PIC.
