AN attempt to get bail for a man arrested after Suffolk’s biggest cocaine seizure has failed.

Lawyers asked Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday to grant Frederick Colverson, 56, bail until his next hearing on February 10 but Judge David Goodin refused.

Colverson, unemployed, of Galsworthy Avenue, London, and Terrance Smith, 56, a company director of Ethelreda Drive, Brandon, are charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug.

They were arrested after £30 to £40 million of cocaine was seized in Brandon on November 1.
