Computer thieves strike at two more schools

Have your say

More than £20,000 worth of computers were stolen from Kersey Primary School on Monday.

The thieves, who smashed a window to get in, took eight tablets and 26 laptops.

Police believe the theft is linked to a spate of school IT thefts, including a Dell laptop from Great Barton Primary between Sunday and Tuesday mornings.

Detective Inspector Nick Power said, “We have seen a number of these incidents occurring across the county in recent months, but particularly in the West, and there are people out there who know who is responsible.

“If you have been offered computing equipment in recent months and you are not sure where it came from, or if you know of anyone who may be connected to these crimes, we would urge you to come forward.”
