A WOMAN has been sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work for wrongly claiming more than £2,000 in Council Tax benefit.

Lisa Arnold, 40, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on June 16 after pleading guilty to two counts of wrongly obtaining £2,147.81 in Council Tax benefits between September 2005 and April 2008 and from April 2009 to March 2010.

Arnold, of Watson Close, Bury St Edmunds, did not inform the council of the change in circumstances when her husband moved back into the family home between these dates.

Arnold was given 120 hours of unpaid work and a six month supervision order.
