Motorists travelling westbound on the A14 are experiencing severe delays this morning after reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles.

Police were called at around 7.15am to reports of a four-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway of the A14 just past the Westley junction.

The East of England Ambulance Service have attended the scene but no-one is thought to have been seriously injured.

The accident happened in the outside lane and, though the inside lane remains open, traffic is moving slowly.

Tailbacks have been reported as far back as Thurston.

Police say recovery of the vehicles will be needed and delays could continue for some time.
