Crash on A11 between Barton Mills and Elveden

Emergency services are on route to an accident on the A11 between Barton Mills and Elveden.

Police were called at 4.55pm to reports a black hatchback and a Mercedes had been involved in a collision on the northbound carriageway of the A11 at Barton Mills.

Witnesses reported seeing ‘a plume of smoke’ and police have confirmed smoke is coming from one of the car’s engines.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called shortly after 4.50pm to reports of an accident on the B1106 at Elveden.

One fire crew has been sent to the scene.

No-one is thought to have been injured.
