Training courses in Bury St Edmunds to give mums hypnobirthing techniques in labour
A hypnobirthing and yoga teacher training school is being set up in Bury St Edmunds.
This growing trend in childbirth is said to be favoured by Kate Middleton and celebrities Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba and is used to relieve anxiety, pain and fear during childbirth.
ZenMuma was founded by Bury St Edmunds born Jackie Heffer-Cooke who is establishing training sessions at The Self Centre in Kempson Way, Bury St Edmunds.
She is running three three day courses on Baby Yoga, Children’s Yoga and Hypnobirthing to enable people to set up their own practices to provide help to parents.
The first of the three day courses runs on April 25, 26, 27 for Baby Yoga, the second is on May 30,31 and June 1 for Children’s Yoga with the third on July 4, 5, 6 for Hypnobirthing.
This practice focuses on deep relaxation, meditation, visualisation, breathing and self hypnosis to help with pain management.
Recently Jackie worked with Anglia TV presenter Jake Humphrey and his wife Harriet during the birth of their son Sebastian.
Jackie underwent a career change after working as a television executive responsible for shows such as Loose Women and The Trisha Show.
She swapped her 60-hour week to retrain in hypnobirthing, massage and yoga to build a more meaningful, family friendly career.
“The ZenMuma hypnobirthing certification is perfect for women who want to change career and do something amazing that will help others at the same time.
“Once you have the certification you can set up your own business and make it what you want it to be. It can fit round your family commitments and lifestyle and you can run classes on any day or time that suits.” For more see www.zenmuma.co.uk
