Couple named in fatal A1075 collision
A couple in their 70s who were killed in a two-car collision in Great Hockham on Wednesday have been named.
Andrew and Jean Crawford, were killed on the A1075, in Wretham Road, in a collision involving a blue Peugeot 206, and a white Kia Rio.
Mr Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene, Mrs Crawford was taken to hospital by ambulance but was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Peugeot, a woman in her 30s, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with serious internal injuries.
The road was closed for some time while emergency services, including Police, the ambulance service and a volunteer of SARS critical care team dealt with the incident.
The family of Mr and Mrs Crawford released a statement.
It read: "Tragically taken on Wednesday, August 28, in the case of a road traffic accident on the A1075 at Great Hockham, Andrew and Jean Crawford, parents, Grandparents and Great Grandparents. Will be sadly missed by all that knew them.”
Officers have started an investigation into the collision and are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed it or may have dash cam footage.
