IT IS only two weeks until the popular Stowmarket Festival kicks off.
The annual event this year boasts a top festival programme including shows, demonstrations, exhibitions and workshops in music, art, comedy, dance and parkour. Highlights during the 10-day festival also include a funfair, sports days, living history, and a farmers market.
The festival will kick off with a huge launch party on May 27 in the town centre featuring live music and workshops.
Visitors can for the first time head to the brand new Stow Blues, a free one day event at the Museum of East Anglian Life on May 28 featuring blues acts from throughout the east.
On May 31, youngsters can see professional skaters shred the new skate park for the official launch event at the recreation ground.
Daniel Harvey, festival coordinator, said: “We’ve got a packed programme of events for all ages and tastes.”
