Car parking charges are set to rise in Bury St Edmunds next year but the ‘Free from 3’ offer will remain.

Leading St Edmundsbury Borough councillors are being asked to rubberstamp the rises which include an extra 20p for three hours at Cattle Market/arc, a 10p increase for all day at the Parkway multi-storey, 20p for three hours at School Yard West and 10p for all day at Ram Meadow.

The ‘Free from 3’ scheme on Tuesday would be extended for another year and the free parking for late night Christmas shopping events would now run from 3pm.

There is no increase in the cost of a season ticket and weekly ticket at Parkway multi-storey and Ram Meadow.
