Bury St Edmunds coronavirus testing unit planned at former recycling centre this week

A coronavirus testing unit is due to be set up at the site of a former recycling centre in Bury St Edmunds this week.

The unit is planned to visit the disused recycling centre on Rougham Hill tomorrow (Tuesday, June 30) and Friday, July 3.

Mobile testing units are mobilised by the Ministry of Defence and are designed for those who cannot easily access the regional testing centre at Copdock.

Tests must be booked in advance and to apply for a test, visit the Government's website here.

As of 9am yesterday (June 28), there have been 1,551 coronavirus cases in Suffolk since the outbreak began with 235 in West Suffolk, 186 in Mid Suffolk, 154 in Babergh, 351 in Ipswich and 625 in East Suffolk.
