A COMPUTER scam that claims the user’s machine has been locked by the police has been reported across Suffolk.
Suffolk Police have warned internet users not to pay the fee the scammers ask to unlock the computer.
They say a message appears on the screen which locks the computer, with words suggesting it is from the police, usually the Metropolitan or Strathclyde forces, and implying you have been viewing unsuitable web sites.
