Ten charity cyclists have won a competition to ride ahead of the Women’s Tour next month - and we are giving you the chance to join them.

The lucky ladies who registered to take part in Abbeycroft Leisure’s Women on Wheels Bury St Edmunds bike ride on July 5 were entered into a prize draw to win the chance to ride out ahead of The Women’s Tour on June 17.

They were Sally Doyle, Helen Samuel, Gill Cooksey, Tracie Jones, Yvonne Lyman, Debbie McDowall, Annie Drugan, Karen Austin, Viv Bowers and Denise Hakesworth.

The group will ride out ahead of the Women’s Tour cyclists from Angel Hill to St Mary’s Square.

Meanwhile, the Bury Free Press has teamed up with Abbeycroft Leisure to offer another 10 ladies the chance to join the pre-race ride out for the Women’s Tour at 11.45am on June 17 from Angel Hill to St Mary’s Square.

At St Mary’s Square you will have the opportunity to watch the start of the Women’s Tour from a special VIP viewing area.

If you are aged 16 or over, send your name, date of birth, address, email and daytime telephone number to:

The closing date for entries for this unique opportunity is Friday, June 5 at 5pm. Entrants must have a bike to take part in the ride out.
