The namesake of Bury St Edmunds will be celebrated at the annual St Edmunds Day Dinner at The Athenaeum on November 18.

Hosted by the Mayor of St Edmundsbury Julia Wakelam, the evening, in conjunction with Our Bury St Edmunds BID, will include a three-course meal, an input about St Edmund, and entertainment.

Gatehouse, Alzheimer’s Research UK (BFP Defeat Dementia campaign) and St Nicholas Hospice (Nicky’s Way) are being supported.

There will be a pre-dinner short talk on the history of St Edmund by historian Martyn Taylor while John Pienaar, deputy political editor for BBC News, will deliver an after dinner speech. Entertainment will be provided by County Upper School’s music department.
