Suffolk Constabulary appeal after two car A14 collision near Woolpit junction 47

One person was injured in a collision involving two cars on the A14 in Woolpit.

Suffolk Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after the incident, to which they were called shortly after 8.30am this morning (Tuesday, February 19).

“Officers would be keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed it," Suffolk Police

A blue BMW Z4 and a black Volkswagen Polo were involved in the incident between the slip-road at junction 47 and the off-slip at junction 47a.

A police statement read: “As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles subsequently collided with the central reservation barrier and the other vehicle was left in the carriageway.

“One person sustained a minor injury.”

The two cars were recovered and the A14 was clear shortly after 9am.

The statement added: “Officers would be keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed it or captured on dash cam the manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the incident.

“Any witnesses to the collision should contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting reference CAD 59 of today, 19 February.”
