A COMEDY club in Bury St Edmunds will be hosting pop-up comedy gigs in support of the ‘stand up for recycling on the streets’ campaign.

The Chortle Factory, along with the Bury Fringe, will organise gigs at Bury’s recycling bins outside the Nutshell and the Body Shop, in the town centre.

The awareness project, launched by local writer Karen Cannard of The Rubbish Diet, aims to get 1,000 recycling bins on the streets of town and city centres across the UK.

Organisers want to hear from local performers or artists that would like to get involved and anyone interested in taking part in a competitive litter pick in August or who has information about litter hotspots in the town.
