This week’s prizewinner is Corinne Lopez, from Holywell Row, with this picture which she’s called ‘Gathering Clouds over Mildenhall Airbase’.

She said she took the photo, of a plane coming in to land, on her morning walk in Mildenhall Woods.

“Feeling so sad about the impending closure of this base and the loss of so many good American friends who have made Mildenhall special over the years,” she said.

Corinne wins the chance to have her picture made into a A3 canvas print, courtesy of Denny Bros’ Sprint Print service in King’s Road, Bury St Edmunds. Alternatively, she can choose to have five smaller glossy prints.

Shirley Pead, from Bury St Edmunds, took this picture on Boxing Day – she looked out of the window as she ate her breakfast and saw these goldfinches tucking in too.

This picture of a robin was sent in by Jason Bailey who said he came across the bird at West Stow Country Park. It luckily perched for a few minutes while he took its photo.
