Clear view of growth for Thetford family business
A Thetford windscreen business, owned by two brothers-in-law, has increased its staff and set up a new base, due to its ongoing success.
C and D Windscreens, owned by David Bunn and Christopher Pinkney, which started in 2017, has taken up offices on Rushford Estate, as well as adding some new additions.
David said: “With taking on Stace Punter, we added 26 years’ experience to our fitting team and with Morgan Booth we have someone new to the company who is willing to learn.”
The part-owner says the new fitters and also another van in the business will help expand their area of work, whilst still maintaining their high levels of customer service.
But this extra workforce, including David’s mum, Linda, and Chris’ wife, Emma, helping with paperwork, does not mean the owners will be putting their feet up.
He said: “Customers love that we are a local, independent company and more people use us rather than national companies because of this.
“People really like to see me and Chris getting our hands dirty, showing a personal touch, so there are no signs of us stopping that.”
The company provides a 24-hour mobile service, that works seven days a week and can cover all of East Anglia, not just for individuals but also for companies.
Both David and Chris don’t plan to sit on their laurels though and are focused on pushing their brand even further.
David said: “We have increased business in the Bury St Edmunds and surrounding area from a year or so now and I hope we can continue and eventually make C and D Windscreens the go-to company in East Anglia.
