A 37-YEAR-OLD woman is putting her best foot forward to run the London Marathon in aid of a leading cancer charity.

Claire Utting, of Gainsborough Road, Bury St Edmunds, aims to raise £1,800 for CLIC Sargent by completing the 26.2 mile run.

She has organised a number of fund-raising events, starting with a cabaret night at the Hunter Club, in Guildhall Street, on Saturday, March 19, at 8pm.

On March 26, she will have a stall at the March Hare Collective art and craft fair at The Apex from 10am to 4pm.

A clothes swap party will then be held on April 4 at the Hunter Club.
