Documentary Project Wild Thing which encourages children to swap computers for playing outdoors, will be screened at The Abbeygate Picturehouse in Bury St Edmunds on Sunday at 1pm.

“We are thrilled to be showing David Bond’s Project Wild Thing,” said manager Pat Church.

“The ultimate goal of the documentary is to sell nature back to the kids.

“We have been working with Suffolk Wildlife Trust who are also involved in this film and who are committed to promoting the great outdoors to children locally.

“Representatives will be at the Abbeygate Picturehouse when the film screens to engage with the audience and share news on their planned outdoor play events in the area.

“Encouraging today’s children to swap their ‘electronic’ life for some outdoor adventure is something we support wholeheartedly.

“We hope the film is appreciated not only by children and their parents’ but anyone who is concerned about the future generations; we hope it will encourage them to take a walk in the park afterward.”
