A treat for all the senses can be enjoyed later this month as part of a series of events at St Edmund’s Catholic Church.

Treating Your Senses, from November 23 to 25, includes 25 separate activities to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the chapel and support a £500,000 redecoration and restoration project.

The weekend, which is being co-ordinated by Catholic community member John Saunders, is designed to span all the senses.

Activities include five musical events, an exhibition of local history and mini tours to explain the history of the church, chapel and the crypt.

There will be a floral display within the church as well as demonstrations of floristry, the arts and food particularly relating to ethnic culture.

A service will be attended by civic dignataries to celebrate the feast of St Edmund. Refreshments will also be provided. For further information and details about ticket sales for the events visit
