A LIVELY blend of music, dance and friendship came to Chilton residential and nursing home in Stowmarket when residents were treated to a performance by the Ugandan Children’s Choir.

Children aged between six and 13, who were performing over two nights at the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts, also put on a show for the home’s residents.

The lounge was decorated with Ugandan flags and balloons and after their performance children chatted to residents and were given a picnic lunch and small gifts.

Manager Karen Earnshaw said: “They had a lovely attitude and were very respectful to the residents who loved their energy.”

The home raised more than £400 towards the building of an orphanage in Uganda.
