Schoolchildren shine in nativity

Last week saw an amazing array of Christmas performances at Barrow Primary School.

Early Years started the week with their rendition of the ‘Wriggly Nativity’, where there were super shepherds, amazing angels, dancing donkeys and a tear jerking solo from Mary, among many other memorable performances.

Key Stage 1 performed ‘A King is Born’.

This alternative version of the nativity was told around a cosy fire to sleepy children in their pyjamas.

The children’s performance was professional containing wonderful singing, dancing and acting from all of those involved in Years 1 and 2.

The busy week ended with Key Stage 2’s nativity ‘I’m Gonna Shine’ .

Children showcased their recent learning on reading prosody, the intonation, rhythm and expression given to words when reading out loud.
