Children across West Suffolk are being urged to don green and put their best feet forward for a Christmas fun run in aid of their local hospital and other good causes.

The young runners will be given an elf suit and hat for the West Suffolk Hospital Charity 1k ‘Elf Run’ on Sunday, December 6, which starts at the Abbey Gardens and ends in the arc shopping centre.

In addition to a £10 entry fee and being encouraged to gain sponsorship, children will be asked to bring a present to be given to less fortunate youngsters.

All money raised from the event will go towards West Suffolk Hospital and the Geewizz charitable trust, set up by fund-raiser and charity campaigner Gina Long.

For more information on the event, which has no upper or lower age limit, email fundraising@wsh.nhs.uk
