THE A11 at Thetford is expected to be closed for 12 hours today after a lorry tipped over, spilling its load of chicken offal all over the road.
Specialist cleaners have been called in to tidy up the mess, following the accident at about 1am at the Brandon Road roundabout.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Police said the lorry would also have to be removed.
She said it was not expected that the road will reopen until about 1pm.
Diversions have been put in place while the offal is removed and the lorry recovered.
The lorry driver has been taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with what police say is believed to be minor injuries.
Nobody else was hurt.
