Charity walk

THE Suffolk manager of the Royal British Legion will join forces with the father of a fallen soldier for the latest part of her charity walk challenge.

Adrienne Wakeling will trek nine miles from Sudbury to Lavenham today with Tony Woodgate joining her part of the way.

His son, Lance Corporal of Horse Jonathan Woodgate was killed in action in Afghanistan last year.

Mrs Wakeling is taking part in a 90-mile walking challenge to raise funds and mark nine decades of the Royal British Legion.

She started the fund-raiser with a 15 mile route from Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club earlier this month.
