With tea, cakes and vintage frocks, the Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket branch of Marie Curie hosted a ‘tea party with a difference’ and raised £146.

The charity, which offers care and support through terminal illness, held the party at Oakes Barn in collaboration with vintage clothing shop Pocket Watch and Petticoats.

Landlady Heather Warren said: “It was a lovely community affair and really nice.”
