Chance to support families in need with launch of charity in West Suffolk

Volunteers are being encouraged to give up two to three hours of their time each week to provide emotional and practical support to families in West Suffolk.

Forest Heath District and St Edmundsbury Borough Councils are backing the launch of leading family support charity Home-Start in the area.

The charity is running training courses for volunteers at Great Barton Village Hall for eight weeks from April 15 and Stowmarket Community Centre from April 28.

The aim is to help families cope with situations such as adapting to a new baby, relationships breaking down, bereavement, financial difficulties and stress. For more information about Home-Start or the April training courses call 01379 678552/678224 or email office@homestartmidsuffolk.org.uk
