POLICE are holding a free catalytic converter-marking session in Bury St Edmunds next week as part of an theft anti-campaign.

Drivers of commercial and non-commercial 4x4 vehicles and vans can get their ‘cats’ marked free between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Wednesday July 25 at St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s Depot Building on Olding Road.

PCSO Matt Smith said: “Not only does security marking provide an effective deterrent, it can help us to identify a stolen converter.”
