Cash stolen during walk-in burglary in Bury St Edmunds

Residents are being reminded to lock their doors following a walk-in burglary in Bury St Edmunds.

Entry was gained to a house in Hospital Road via an insecure back door some time between 8pm on Monday and 7am yesterday.

Cash amounting to approximately £250 and €100 was stolen from inside.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team on 101 quoting reference BU/15/683, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Police are reminding residents to ensure they keep doors locked at all times and windows secured if out or overnight.
