Cars targeted during night of thefts in Red Lodge

In a night of thefts six cars and two garages were targeted in Red Lodge.

Police have warned residents to lock their cars and remove property from inside following the spate of thefts.

The offences took place overnight between July 6 and 7.

Six cars and one garage, all insecure, were targeted and attempts were made to break into a further garage,

Police have said the cars were all parked on driveways, with three of the crimes occurring in Scots Pine Court and three in Damson Close, Harebell Road and Maidenhair Way respectively.

Items stolen included a black Fossil watch, an iPod Touch, a 10 carat gold Figaro chain, two Tom Tom sat navs, a pair of Nike Hyperdunk trainers, a green Carhartt jacket and a Miken 750x aluminium baseball bat.

The insecure garage in Poppy Close was accessed via an insecure door and an item of breathing apparatus was stolen.

The failed garage break in took place in Acorn Way.
