Car fire on the A14

A car was alight on the hard shoulder of the A14 earlier today (Sunday, August 23).

Firefighters from Bury St Edmunds and Elmswell were called to a Volvo estate which was well alight on the A14 west bound carriageway between the junctions for Elmswell and Thurston.

The fire was reported at just before 11am and was brought under control 15 minutes later.

No-one was injured.
