Camper van fire closes one lane of A11 between Elveden and Thetford


Emergency services were called to a vehicle fire on the A11 shortly after 11am today.

Suffolk Police received reports of an orange VW camper van on fire in the northbound carriageway of the A11 between Elveden and Thetford, near the Center Parcs turning, at 11.22am.

Two fire crews from Thetford attended the scene and used compressed air foam to extinguish the blaze.

One lane of the A11 was closed but reopened at 1.05pm following the recovery of the vehicle.

No-one was injured in the incident.
