Outstanding design, craftsmanship and flair among design students at Stowmarket High School have been recognised with awards judged by local businesspeople.

James Bannister, the school’s Head of Design, said: “The show gives the design students a massive lift and it is a real chance to showcase their efforts.

“I am always astonished by the quality of work which the students produce. The Design Exhibition is a shining example of what a combination of dedication, creativity, resourcefulness and hard work can produce.”

The exhibition began as a workshop in the mid-1990s and has grown to become an annual event attended by students, parents, staff, feeder schools and local businesses.

James added. “I am very grateful to our sponsors, Concertus Design and Property Consultants, Vinci, TML Interiors, Bennett Homes and Stitch x Stitch, as without them the exhibition and awards wouldn’t be possible.”
