SHE has supplied kitchen furniture to Jamie Oliver, Gemima Khan and Richard Curtis and tries to use reclaimed wood where ever she can.
Now Tamara Rowe has launched her first shop at Risby Barns.
The mother of two, who previously worked in branding and design, launched 2Tinkers three years ago as an online business trading from her home.
Her work, including reclaimed butchers blocks and kitchen islands, caught the eye of a London architect and led to her supplying to celebrities, but a lack of storage space prevented her from offering a larger range of furniture – until now.
“I love tinkering with furniture. Each block is unique to the customer,” said Tamara.
Here father-in-law, carpenter Clive Watts, makes the furniture to customers’ specifications which Tamara paints and sells on.
The shop at Risby Barns is open at weekends. For more, visit www.2tinkers.co.uk
