A leading Bury St Edmunds company is poised to expand its operations after completing a major acquisition.
Facilities management company Servest has bought national contract catering company Accuro Catering.
The move gives Servest, of Fornham All Saints, a higher profile in a new array of education, hospitals and healthcare clients.
Rob Legge, group chief executive UK and Europe at Servest said: “We welcome Accuro Catering to Servest and look to support them in providing even greater standards of innovation in food and service to our new clients and customers.
“The acquisition of Accuro Catering enables us to offer additional catering services and expertise to clients.”
Nigel Prothero, chief executive of Accuro Support Services Group, said: “Having taken the decision to divest of our food service division to focus on our core cleaning and facilities management services, we were then keen that we partnered with the right company.
“Servest stood out as a service provider that values its staff highly and invests in their wellbeing, which can only enhance the service provided to clients.”
Named as one of the UK’s top five fastest growing foodservice companies by the AlixPartners Report 2015, Servest Catering has secured many blue chip contracts and business wins in a short period of time and this most recent acquisition will assist its continued growth in key sectors.
The Servest Group employs more than 20,000 people over 7,000 sites across the UK.
