Peacocks could soon be reopening its store in the arc shopping centre, Bury St Edmunds.

The fashion retailer, which was sold out of administration to Edinburgh Woollen Mill last February, has entered into negotiations over a future lease for its former Bury store.

Colin Roberts, arc centre manager, said: “We’re negotiating with Peacocks at the moment.”

Fifteen jobs were axed when the store shut suddenly last year but, this week, roles for new staff, including a store manager and an assistant store manager, began being advertised online for the company’s ‘new store soon to open in Bury’.
