TWO friends have been inspired to set up their own ethical clothing company after volunteering as soccer coaches in America.

Josh Stannard and Ben Ryan set up Doxa Clothing as they were concerned that most of the clothing being worn by youngsters they were coaching was mass produced in sweatshops.

Mr Stannard is a former County Upper School pupil brought up in Nowton and did a National Diploma in Graphic Design at West Suffolk College, which included a module on silk screen printing on fabrics. Mr Ryan, who went to Thurston Community College, is from Beyton and handles the financial and backroom side.

Their clothing is mostly sold at As well as a small range of T-shirts they sell a bag made by an Indian project which aims to help women out of prostitution.
