A NEW manager is being sought for the arc shopping centre.

The job of centre manager is being advertised by the London facilities management recruitment specialists Maxwell Stephens Recruitment, with a salary of £55,000 plus benefits.

The head-hunters say they are looking for ‘a self motivated individual, able to build and manage a team and have experience of managing budgets and the management of sub-contractors’. Candidates must have experience of managing a shopping site at a senior level and are expected to be responsible for all on-site activity.

The arc’s manager since it opened in March 2009 has been Paul Haynes, who said yesterday: “The entire reason for going is to be close to my family who haven’t been able to move from the Midlands.

“My time at the arc has been fantastic. I would have loved to have stayed here until the end of my career.

“I think its a wonderful scheme and am confident it will go from strength to strength.”

Mr Haynes will start at Northampton’s expanding Grosvenor Centre on January 16, 2012.

Ros Oxley, director of Jones Lang LaSalles Asset Management, who run the Grosvenor Centre for owners Legal and General, said: “Paul Haynes brings with him a wealth of experience including award-winning management roles at The Mall, Luton, West Orchard Shopping Centre, Coventry and at the Regent Centre, Leamington Spa.”
