FAMILY lawyers at Gross and Go swapped the polish of the courts, for the grass of tennis courts last week.
Elizabeth Hodder and Julie McDonald from the Bury St Edmunds firm won a competition with HSBC to go to Wimbledon and have two hours of tennis coaching with former British number one Tim Henman.
Elizabeth, who plays tennis at the Risbygate Tennis Club, in Bury, said: “For a tennis player, it was just Nirvana. It was great. Tim was an absolute gentleman, he talked to us like he’d known us for years.”
The prize also included a behind the scenes tour of the All England Club and some Wimbledon grass seed.
“It was absolutely spellbinding.
“I was in awe the whole time.
“Tim is still known as the World’d best vollier, and volleying with him was quite something. It was terrific,” said Elizabeth.
