A CLOTHES shop specialising in the styles of bygone decades has opened its doors in Bury St Edmunds.
Vintage Romantics started out on the Bury market in November.
But just two months on, duo Emily Volkert and Simon Currey have opened a new shop in St Andrew’s Street North, calling it ‘an opportunity too good to miss’.
Specialising in vintage clothing mainly from the 1950s onwards, the shop also sells vintage-inspired and reworked clothes.
“Vintage is just so popular at the moment,” said Emily, who was inspired by the vintage boutiques of Melbourne, Australia.
“For me, modern clothing has become the same – it’s cheap production and lots of people are wearing the same.
“Vintage is unique – a lot of clothes are on their second or third life and there is something really quite special about that.”
